The Project Office, a small consultancy-style team within the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet which supports the department with additional capacity to respond to policy problems and government priorities. The Project Office uses a policy project methodology, drawing on management consulting and agile methods.
The PM&C Project Office methodology and toolkits help establish:
- a framework that brings together subject matter and policy project expertise
- a set of principles and tools to help teams scope, manage and deliver policy projects
- time and space for teams to make real inroads into complex policy problems; and
- a repeatable set of steps that can be deployed quickly to respond to emerging priorities.
