Guidance on undertaking cost-benefit and risk analysis of regulatory proposals to be incorporated into Regulation Impact Statements (RIS).

How to use it

When you are drafting a Long Form RIS you will need to include a Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA).

If your regulation is designed to reduce the risk of physical or economic harm, your CBA should include a risk analysis detailing how the regulation will change the likelihood, frequency or consequences of an adverse event occurring.
