The end of a year is often a time to reflect on what's been, do some planning or set goals for the year ahead. Lists of ten things people have done or experienced since 2010 have been popping up on socials lately.

It was amazing seeing our model of great policy advice brought to life by four passionate secretaries and the 235 people who attended.  On the day we had interactive booths, sketching and engagement masterclasses, and policy readiness towers.

Momentum is building as we near the launch date for an approach to Delivering Great Policy!

Last week was a game of iteration. We took what we’ve learned about the elements of great policy advice, and worked through a bunch of different ways to articulate, so that it’s simple to grasp and people can see themselves in it.

We’ve just come out of that very uncomfortable point in a design-led project where you’re stuck in the middle of everything; you’ve moved away from where you started you’re not yet clear on where you’re headed. Cue the scream emoji.

This week we ran workshops in Canberra and Hobart to test and further push our thinking on what delivering great policy advice is all about.

This week was all about making sense of everything we’ve learnt so far, getting some clarity on what we’re doing, and working through possible models.

Last week was busy! We ran four workshops.

We are currently working on Sprint #1, co-designing a model of great policy advice; role modelling a way of working.
